Perennial Transitional House

Perennial House provides short-term housing for young parents and their newborns plus siblings as they work towards the goals of healthy birth outcomes and independent living.

Homelessness: How HBP is fighting and winning.

The hub of Healthy Babies Project’s work, Perennial House opened in 2013 and has remained at capacity. It includes 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large community room, security area, waiting room, kitchen, storage, laundry room, front yard, and back deck. Perennial House is located three blocks from the metro and accessible to HBP services.

On any given day, you’ll find Perennial House filled with life: classes and one-on-one coaching and volunteers as young parents and their children meet with mentors, participate in yoga, learn about personal finances, study to complete a degree, acquire parenting skills, prepare meals.

Find out how you can be a part of nurturing this safe, loving community. You and your organization can sponsor a collection drive, an event, or a volunteer experience at HBP’s Perennial House when you contact us at 202.396.2809.
