Home for the Holidays
This season, help us finish H.O.O.P.S for Youth House: eight permanent apartments in Northeast DC where pregnant and parenting young mothers and their babies can stay, heal, and grow.
Healthy Babies Project, Inc. · Serving DC families for 30+ years
We are raising $2 million to finish construction, furnish the apartments, and open the doors in early summer 2027.
Most of what’s left is the building itself
Gifts to the Construction & Completion Fund go straight to finishing the building under our guaranteed-price contract, with professional project oversight in place.
Cornerstone Partner

Building Systems
Plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling for all eight homes.
Elevator & Access

Walls & Finishes
Drywall, flooring, and paint that turn rooms into homes.
General Building Fund
Used where it’s needed most to finish the building.
From a 90-day shelter stay to a place to call home
Our Muriel House crisis shelter gives young mothers 90 days to stabilize. H.O.O.P.S for Youth House is the next step: longer-term housing with on-site case management, life skills coaching, and peer support, so a young family has the time it takes to finish school, find work, and stand on its own.
