Build the Future: Expanding the H.O.O.P.S. for Youth House
Every young mother deserves a safe place to grow, heal, and build a strong future for her family. Today, Healthy Babies Project is proud to announce the launch of our Build the Future fundraising campaign — a community-driven effort to complete the expansion of the H.O.O.P.S. for Youth House, our transitional home serving homeless, pregnant, and parenting youth in Washington, D.C.
For years, HBP has walked alongside young parents as they navigate housing instability, economic pressures, and the challenges of early parenthood. The H.O.O.P.S. for Youth House has long been more than a roof. It is a space of safety, structure, and support — a place where young mothers receive case management, parenting guidance, life-skills education, and the time they need to gain stability and independence.

A Home Shaped by Many Hands
The expansion of this home has been a long-term vision — shaped by staff, supporters, community partners, and the many young families who have lived, learned, and grown within its walls. As we enter the final phase of construction, we are inviting our community to help bring this life-changing project across the finish line.
Completing this expansion means more than adding beds. It means providing room for more young mothers and their children to find safety, access one-on-one support, and build a future with hope and stability.
